I’m in the studio mixing the EP today. I was up till 5:30am preparing the tracks so I’m pretty wiped out, but the songs are sounding amazing so I’m hanging in there!

I met some people this weekend when I was out and about and after the usual “So what do you do?” I answered, “I’m a songwriter/solo artist.” He said something along the lines of “Oh, like Coyote Ugly?”

- No mother fucker. Not like Coyote Ugly. That is a Hollywood film about a girl who does one gig and then miraculously manages to get the job of writing an entire album for a major label artist. It’s not meant to reflect real life. When I meet people who work in management, or finance, I don’t say, “Oh, is that like The Apprentice?”
